CBRF is a private investment office founded in 2011. Our earliest days found us acquiring real estate and building online healthcare platforms in Canada and the US. Today we manage a blend of active operating companies, real estate, and other private investments.
We are hands-on and have long-term value creation in mind for shareholders and partners. We don't have set exit timeframes and believe in quiet compounding.

In 2012 HME had 6 staff and one location. Over the years our hands-on approach has increased our presence to over 150 staff and 11 offices in BC. For over 6 years HME has successfully implemented an internal profit share plan.
FirstShare provides investments and education for companies seeking employee ownership (EO) and profit share structures. FirstShare makes direct investments for ownership (minority or majority), finances management buyouts (MBOs), and provides advisory services for clients seeking EO or MBO transitions.

We like driving value for all stakeholders, including employees via EO and profit share models. We will acquire businesses with the long-term view of exiting to staff, while educating teams on business fundamentals to empower engagement.
